The Cymtox CTM™ Continuous Toxicity Monitor is the only real-time broadband continuous toxicity monitor currently available. The technology works by using bioluminescence to detect the presence of toxins and immediately warn of suspicious changes. 

It is quicker, more cost effective and more accurate than its competitors. Cymtox has already enjoyed initial order flow from China and a robust pipeline of further sales has been achieved.  Cymtox is now identifying routes into additional markets through direct trials in the UK and the potential for additional distribution agreements.

Cymtox Limited became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Modern Water, when the Group purchased the remaining shares in Cymtox in December 2009.  This enables the Group to reap the full benefit of existing and future sales of the leading CTM™ units.

Cymtox won the Cardiff University Innovation Award in May 2011.
