Modern Water sponsors the British Science Festival
01 September 2009Modern Water plc, an advanced water technologies company based in Guildford, has linked up with the British Science Association as a sponsor of the British Science Festival, hosted this year by the University of Surrey.
As one of the Festival sponsors, Modern Water will be exhibiting as part of the ‘Science about Town’ event in Trinity Centre, High Street, Guildford on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September. Visitors to the Modern Water stand will be able to see first hand how the company’s water toxicity monitoring technology works, and there will be fun and educational experiments for children and adults alike.
Through its sponsorship of the event, Modern Water is particularly keen to spark enthusiasm and excitement in young people to consider science or engineering as a career. Modern Water has been based in Guildford since the company was founded and its ground-breaking desalination technology was developed by academics at the University of Surrey.
