First sales of the Cymtox CTM™ Continuous Toxicity Monitor were achieved in China in November 2009. Since then, the Group has secured a robust pipeline of sales within the region and market development is ongoing.

Wholly-owned subsidiary, Cymtox Limited, identified China as a key market for its leading CTM™ Continuous Toxicity Monitor.  The units that were sold at the end of 2009 were subject to extensive testing by the Chinese Environmental Protection Department (CEPD) at the Chinese National Monitoring Station.  The units passed the tests and have been accepted by the CEPD, which represents a significant step forward in a key market.  As a direct result of performance in these extended trials, Cymtox's distribution partner in China received a number of orders for further units at the end of 2010, to be fulfilled in 2011. 

The Chinese market remains the primary opportunity for Cymtox where rapid urbanisation, rising industrial output and pressure to reduce pollution are fuelling demand for clean water supplies.
