First sales of the Cymtox CTMTM Continuous Toxicity Monitor were achieved in China in November 2009.
Market development in the country is ongoing.
Oman
A commercial desalination plant and evaporative cooling system using the Group's platform
manipulated osmosis technology are operational in the territory. The Group also has an office
located in the capital, Muscat.
South Africa
South Africa The Group maintains an office in Johannesburg, South Africa. This office provides
business development and technical support locally, for the Middle East and other key markets.
Gibraltar
The world's first desalination plant using Modern Water's patented manipulated osmosis process was
unveiled in Gibraltar in May 2009.
UK
Modern Water's Head Office is located in Guildford, Surrey. The UK is the main market for AguaCure and
opportunities for Cymtox are currently being developed in the UK.
Since the Company listed in June 2007, Modern Water has expanded its operations into Oman, Gibraltar, China, South Africa and around the UK.
Modern Water takes a global approach to providing technologies focused on addressing the scarcity of fresh water and the treatment of wastewater.
Annual water consumption around the world has risen six-fold during the past century, which is more than twice the rate of population growth. Forecasts estimate that by 2025, five and a half billion people, two-thirds of the world’s population, will live in countries that are water-stressed.
